Sophia Dobler, LPN

Island Nursing team

Sophia is a Licensed Practical Nurse with over two years of nursing experience and a strong background in hands-on caregiving. She currently works with Island Health and Home Instead, where she brings both clinical expertise and genuine compassion to her role. Prior to becoming an LPN, Sophia spent several years working as a care aide in hospital and facility settings an experience she found deeply rewarding and foundational to her nursing practice.

Becoming an LPN allowed Sophia to build on that foundation and further support individuals through both direct personal care and clinical nursing services. In her current role, she enjoys working with a wide range of care needs, including wound care, senior care, spinal cord injuries, and lymphedema.

Sophia takes pride in tailoring care to each individual, always approaching her work with respect, compassion, and a strong focus on dignity. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her horses—Pete, Red, and Bear. Caring for them reflects the same patience, attentiveness, and dedication she brings to her nursing, and her love of animals speaks to the compassion and connection that guide both her personal life and her work.

She is committed to providing thoughtful, client-centred care that supports both health and quality of life.
